About the 2nd Range Operations Squadron
The 2nd Range Operations Squadron (2 ROPS) is a United States Space Force unit at Vandenberg Space Force Base, California, responsible for real-time command and control of the Western Range. Activated on December 1, 2003, as part of the Air Force, it transferred to the Space Force on May 7, 2021, supporting space launches, ballistic missile tests, and aeronautical operations.
