About the 2nd Range Operations Squadron (2 ROPS):
The 2nd Range Operations Squadron is a United States Space Force unit stationed at Vandenberg Space Force Base, California. Since its activation on December 1, 2003, and transfer to the Space Force on May 7, 2021, 2 ROPS has been responsible for real-time command and control of the Western Range, supporting critical space launches, ballistic missile tests, and aeronautical operations that keep America's space capabilities mission-ready.
